Engine 29: President, 2003-present
Convergent Content company helping clients market their brands

as well as develop the brand itself.

 

The Food Group: Creative Director, 2008- 2011
Oversee creative, foster culture, integrate 5 offices, expand digital and social expertise, idea integration.



Cooper & Hayes: ECD/EVP, 1997-2003
Helped turn around agency losing money. Named equity partner in 2 years.



DDB Needham: CD/AD, 1984-1997
First AD to get a computer. Created Super Bowl commercials.



Stuff I’ve Learned.
Every day is different. There’s always a new puzzle to solve. Developing talent

and leading collaboration between departments is harder than it looks.



Work and fun.
Spuds MacKenzie. Gimme a Light. Better Eat Your Wheaties. Worked in Malaysia

for a month. Directed TV commercials, shot free throws with Michael Jordan,

survived working with Joe Pytka, created the predecessor to YouTube called WorldCam in 1995.



Day to day.
Lead creative teams, design for digital space, on time & on budget.

Project management from concept to implementation. New business leader.

Create pitch-winning concepts & pitch materials. Knowledge of latest technology, design & trends in interactive. Present concepts internally & to clients.

Qualifications:
20+ years leadership in interactive, design, & advertising agency.
Creative leader in development of strategy, marketing plans & positioning.

Knowledge of UI architecture, online interface and interactive design, and usability principles. Strong design aesthetic & deep understanding of typography, color,

layout, & their role in brand identity. I can still draw storyboards & layouts.
